Jean-Luc Van Damme has been visiting South Africa as a film producer since the early 1990s. During one of his trips with Nadine Deruyck, they came up with the idea of developing a photographic project in a Cape Town township. In early 2024, they decided to make this vision a reality in the township of Imizamo Yethu, also known as Mandela Park, in Hout Bay, south of Cape Town.

EUROPA TRAIL

The EuropaTrail is the largest (and most beautiful) nature race in Brussels. Its Latin slogan “In varietate concordia”, meaning “unity in diversity”, is a nod to Brussels’ central role in the construction of Europe, and to the rich (bio)diversity of the superb Forêt de Soignes, the venue for the event. The varied and surprising 10, 26 and 52 km nature trails alternate between undulating, fast sections and magnificent single tracks. A run&bike and a children’s race have also been added to the program. Whether you’re a nature lover or an experienced trailer, this race is an invitation to discover the beauty and natural diversity of Brussels while celebrating its European spirit.
